Scott Smith was born into a fishing family. From the time he could walk he had a rod and reel in his hand. Growing up around such fishing legends as Billy Westmoreland, Buck Perry and other pioneers of the sport, Scott has an unusual amount of experience for his age of 37. Scott is a professional touring pro on the B.A.S.S. Open Circuit fishing the Central and Southern Divisions as well as the Central Division of the FLW Stren Series. In addition to his extensive tournament schedule Scott is also President of Southern Outdoors America Inc. makers of THE LONGSHANK spinnerbaits and buzzbaits which was successfully launched in January of 2007 to rave reviews and has since brought on over 400 dealers Nationwide including Cabelas, Sportsmans Warehouse and several other national accounts. He has an extensive background in outdoor video production, has written several articles for both print and online publications and has made numerous appearances as a seminar speaker as well as a radio and television personality. Scott loves to help people become better fishermen and his welcoming personality has made him a very popular figure at fishing events and has made him a valuable staffer for sponsors like Triton Boats, AnglersResource.Org, Mercury, Motorguide, Tifosi Optics, All Pro Rods, Lowrance, & Extreme Outdoor Network. Scott was born and raised in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee where he still lives today.
