Seeing the bend of fishing rod ignites excited-mental attention. Hearing the whine of the reel causes the tingling sensation in the fingers to grip down on the rod's handle, all the while the smell and taste of the water's surface in the air induces an intense craving for the satisfaction of landing the catch.

Mark Goines grew up seeking this sensation on early-morning trips with his father and now enjoys what can be a year-round feeling as a professional angler. Mark lives in Shady Point, Oklahoma. He began fishing in local club tournaments in 1989 and progressed to the professional level in 1999. He is living a dream most weekend outdoorsmen ponder while gazing through an office-building window.
