Directions: Bear Rocks Lakes Wildlife Management Area is located 3 miles northeast of Dallas Pike in Ohio County. It is accessible from I-70 by using the Dallas Pike exit north to County Route 41/3, then County Routes 39/4 to 41/6.

Description: This four-lake complex (Baker Lake, 1.5 acres; Bear Lake, 7.5 acres; Rock Lake, 2.1 acres; Wood Pond, 0.5 acre) was constructed in 1949. Baker Lake has a maximum depth of 7 feet and an average depth of 4 feet; Bear Lake has a maximum depth of 20 feet and an average depth of 6 feet; Rock Lake has a maximum depth of 14 feet and an average depth of 6 feet. A small boat ramp is available at Bear Lake. Only electric motors are allowed and fishing with live minnows is prohibited. A fishing pier on Wood Pond provides convenient access for handicapped anglers. Toilet facilities and picnic tables are available. Swimming and camping are prohibited. A path surrounds the majority of each lake providing bank fishing access. Excessive growth of aquatic vegetation during summer can interfere with bank fishing.

Fishery: Bear and Baker lakes and Wood Pond are stocked with trout once each month February through May. Wood Pond is managed under children and class Q fishing regulation from March through May. The general public is permitted to fish for trout in Wood Pond after May 31. Adult channel catfish are stocked annually in June. Largemouth bass and bluegill are present in all lakes. Fishing for these species is best in Bear and Rock lakes. Musky have been stocked intermittently since 1963 and musky larger than 40 inches have been caught.

Camping: No camping allowed

Spring Trout: Stocked once in February and once every two weeks from March through May

Fall Trout: Does not receive Fall trout stocking

Live Minnows: Live minnows may not be used as bait

Night Fishing: Night fishing is allowed
