Kaw: February 4. Elevation 3 ft. above normal, water 35 and murky. Crappie good over deep brush piles at 20-30 ft. on 1/16 oz chartreuse and black or red and black tube jigs. Fish are not in every brush pile, so you have to "search and move" if you are not catching fish on a particular brush pile. Blue catfish fair on juglines in main lake channels using shad. Keystone: February 11. Elevation 2 1/2 ft. above normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on jerk baits, jigs and chunk baits at 10-18 ft. in main lake pockets with steep banks. Smallmouth bass fair on jerk baits, jigs and chunk baits at 10-18 ft. at points and secondary points in Salt Creek area. Spotted bass fair on jerk baits, jigs and chunk baits at 10-18 ft. around main lake bluffs. White bass fair on minnows and jigging spoons at 15-25 ft. at mouths of deep creeks near river channel. Striped bass good on bucktails and jerk baits at 3-6 ft. below dam. Channel catfish fair on chicken livers and worms at 8-15 ft. in creeks with recent rain run-off. Blue catfish fair on cut shad and worms at 12-20 ft. in riprap and around bluffs. Crappie fair on pumpkin and chartreuse jigs and minnows at 12-25 ft. at docks and ledges along main lake bluffs. Walleye slow on large shiners at 4-8 ft. in downstream holes below dam to Riverside Drive. Saugeye slow on small jigs tipped with minnows at 4-8 ft. in downstream holes below dam to Riverside Drive. Lower Illinois: Feb. 9. Trout fishing slow. Gnats rising, but no takers on a Griffith. Some action on bead headed Crakklebacks, Pheasent tails, and #14 woolybuggers. Jigs very slow. Smaller flies seemed to be best. Bank fisherman where using Chartreuse and white power baits with some success. Fish are generally in the 10" to 14" range. Report submitted by Ken.
Oologah: February 11. Elevation 1 ft above normal and falling, water mid 40s to near 50 and clear. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 15-20 ft around brush piles. Blue catfish fair on shad at 20-25 ft. drifting flats near the river channel. Walleye and striped bass hybrids fair on jigs below the dam. Great Salt Plains: High temperatures and prolonged drought during the summer of 2006 resulted in a significant fish kill. Fisheries personnel has stocked catfish into the lake. The catfish should grow to catchable size by this summer or next, if water levels are favorable. The Wildlife Department is going to monitor fish populations in the lake very closely over the next few years and make management decisions to ensure this fishery is as healthy as it can be. This report will be updated as conditions change.
Arbuckle: February 11. Elevation 1 1/5 ft. below normal, water 44 and stained. Crappie good at brush piles near dam. Sand bass fair on spoons at 25 ft. Bass fair on Carolina rigs, jigging spoons & jigs. Report submitted by Jack Melton.

Konawa: February 11. Elevation normal, water 53 and clear. Largemouth bass good on plastic worms at 4-8 ft. along points and weed beds. Lower Mountain Fork River: February 11. Last weekend was a super weekend. The fishing was really great! Reports from zone 2 and 3 were encouraging and zone 1 produced lots of fish as usual. We are beginning to see some "March Brown" mayflies as well as a couple of other species... Also a few stoneflies, and caddis. Some dryfly action from time to time, but mostly the fish have been caught near the bottom of the stream or sometimes just below the surface. The powerhouse seems to releasing water for a few hours each day. Be alert for rising water when fishing in zones 2 and 3. Report submitted by Beavers Bend Fly Shop.

Sardis Lake: October 22. Elevation normal. Largemouth bass good to fair in coves on spinnerbaits and plastics. Blue catfish goof on jugs with cut shad or shrimp. Flathead fair on trotlines baited with sunfish or shad. Crappie good to excellent around brush piles, bridges and the tower on minnows. Walleye excellent around points jigging. Texoma: October 29. Elevation 2 ft. below normal, water 74 and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair on crankbaits at 10-15 ft. near the points. Striped and white bass fair on live bait and slabs at 10-20 ft. from Alberta Creek south. Channel and blue catfish fair to good at 10-20 ft. on live bait and cut shad near the islands and north of the Hwy 70 bridge. Crappie fair on minnows at 5-15 ft. on upper rock creek and Widow Moore Creek. All other fishing is slow. Report submitted by Danny Clubb, game warden stationed in Bryan County.

Altus-Lugert: October 29. Elevation 9 ft. below normal. Fishing is fair. Crappie have slowed but are still biting off the boat ramp on north shore (in Lakeview Campground). The North shore Area is being winterized: No bathrooms and you must park outside the campground and walk in. Some small Crappie were also being caught near the "old fish-o-rama". Striped bass hybrids being caught from the bank near the swim beach. Channel and blue catfish are still being caught,n ear the Granite bridge at the north end of the lake.
